Germany boss blasts Sane

According to Germany manager Joachim Low, midfielder Leroy Sane showed a lack of experience in the chances he missed during Germany’s 3-0 defeat to the Netherlands.

The Manchester City forward has regained his spot in the Germany set-up having been told to reproduce his Premier League form at international level by Low following his omission from their World Cup squad. Sane has also faced criticism over his attitude from Germany team-mate Toni Kroos.

Low admitted he is still searching for answers to their drop in form since being crowned world champions in 2014, and says integrating Sane with their World Cup heroes is a challenge.

“The young Leroy Sane and Julian Brandt were a breath of fresh air, but they missed a couple of good chances, maybe because of their inexperience,” said Low. They need time to develop. We are still searching to set up a good balance between the experienced players and the young players.”

Germany now play reigning world champions France in their next UEFA Nations League fixture on Tuesday.
