Is being in remand a smooth ride for Obado?

Kenyans have reacted  after Migori governor Okoth Obado, his PA Michael Oyamo and a clerk at the county assembly Casper Ojwang were today arraigned in  Milimani Law Courts where  they are  charged with aiding in murdering Sharon Otieno and her baby. According to Kenyans, the suspects were all wearing smiles as if  being in the dock was a total joke.

A couple weeks ago, there were claims that Obado was getting special treatment  in remand. Claims that were later rubbished by the involved authorities.

The nation last week revealed that  Mr Obado was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital’s private wing at around 12pm, acting Clinical Services Director Dr Peter Masinde confirmed.

“He is sick, but not in critical condition,” Dr Masinde said, adding that he is not allowed to give details of what the governor is suffering from.

Obado has been in hospital pending his case haring which was heard today and he was then denied bail. His case will be heard again on Friday 12th of October.
