The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied allegations circulating online that the Late Monica Kimani was their employee. Reports by the Daily Nation claimed that the ministry’s spokesperson clarified that Monica never worked at the Kenyan Embassy in Juba or any of the ministry’s institutions.
Monica’s work in Juba became a subject after some online users claimed she worked at the Kenyan diplomatic mission in Juba where she had connections with officials from South Sudan’s government.

However, none of the claims circulating online specified on the nature of the job she was doing at the embassy, terms of the contract or even whether she was a diplomat.
Monica’s family claimed she was a businessperson. She was buried on Friday, where dozens of mourners came to bid farewell to Monica whose cruel murder left the nation shocked.
Those who spoke at the burial condemned her killing and called on investigation agencies to expedite the probe.
Meanwhile, a suspect arrested in connection with the killing of Monica, Joseph Irungu alias Jowie, will spend six more days in remand to allow detectives complete investigations.
Kiambu Senior Principal Stella Atambo ordered the suspect be taken to a hospital since he had a gunshot wound.
Jowie was arrested on Tuesday morning in his house and told police officers he was attacked by gunmen last Friday morning as he dropped his fiancée, TV anchor Jacque Maribe, at her house in Royal Park Estate, in Lang’ata.
