Here Are Reasons Why Kenyans Should Shift to Cooking Gas

On Friday 21st September 2018, President Uhuru Kenyatta signed into law the financial Bill 2018 that had been passed by the members of parliament on Thursday.

The bill had been forwarded to the MPs for review and debating after after the president refused to sign into law a bill passed by MPs seeking to suspend the 16% VAT Tax on petroleum products from taking effect until April 202o.

The president instead proposed an 8% VAT tax on petroleum products with several recommendations, among them cutting the National budget.

The 2018 Finance Bill was finally on Friday signed into law, little did Kenyans knew that it would only see the reduction of petrol price.

Consumers have been hit most, since the kerosine price rose by Ksh.10 as petrol price decreased by ksh.9.

The cost of using fuel has absolutely become expensive as compared to cooking gas, which once refilled will have to take some time before you refill again rather than the kerosine that has to be bought daily.
