Kenyans are now demanding for the arrest of former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo over the murder of former Nairobi of University student Mercy Keino.
This is after the police arrested Migori governor on Friday over the murder of his lover Sharon Otieno.
Obado will spend the weekend in police custody as the probe into Sharon Otieno’s murder continues.Police said the governor will be charged in a Nairobi court on Monday as a person of interest in the Rongo university student’s killing.

He was grilled for hours by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations at the Kiambu headquarters.The county chief has denied any link to the murder of the 26-year-old student but admitted they were lovers.
Last week, Obado told the police in Kisumu that he too was interested in knowing Sharon’s killers. His lawyer Cliff Ombeta has maintained that his client is innocent and has told the police what he knew about the case.

And now Kenyans believe it is high time Kabogo answered charges over the murder of Mercy. Mercy’s lifeless body was found by passers-by on Waiyaki Way in Westlands on June 17, 2011.
The University of Nairobi student who was found dead in unclear circumstances after being invited to a party where Kabogo was a guest. It is believed she had an altercation with the former county chief.
Kabogo was absolved of the murder last year after police failed to link him to the murder.
Mercy’s parents believe she would still be alive had she not had a brush with Kabogo.
