Wigan Athletic v Manchester United - Premier League

Carlos Tevez is a dynamic, energetic and hard-working striker capable of consistently scoring goals. He is also equally capable of playing on wings as well as in attacking midfield. Tevez was also part of the same transfer deal which brought Mascherano to West Ham. But unlike his countryman, Tevez stayed with the Hammers for the entire season thus helping them avoid relegation. He scored seven goals in 26 Premier League appearances, including an all-important goal against Manchester United on last match of the season to secure their stay in the League.

Tevez joined Manchester United on an initial two-year loan deal at the start of 2007 season. He enjoyed a highly successful trophy-laden two years at Old Trafford, winning two premier league, a league cup, Champions League and Club World Cup. Playing alongside Rooney, Berbatov, and Ronaldo, Tevez was an integral part of the most fierce attacking lineups in Europe. He scored 34 goals in 99 appearances for United.

In 2009 Tevez rejected an offer from Manchester United and signed for their neighbors and arch-rivals Manchester City. He won a Premier League and an FA cup while representing the blue Manchester Club. Tevez scored 73 goals in 143 appearances for City.

2. Javier Mascherano

Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers - Premier League

Mascherano arrived in England as part of controversial transfer dealings between West Ham and Corinthians in August of 2006. He only made 7 appearances for the east London Club before eventually moving to Liverpool in February of 2007.

Mascherano, in his three and a half year long stay at Merseyside, played 139 games in all competition. Known for his tough tacking, passing accuracy and distribution, mostly played as a defensive midfielder alongside Steven Gerrard and Xabi Alonso. With tackle success rate of 78% in the league, he is still considered as the best defensive midfielder to grace the Premier League.

3. Pablo Zabaleta

AS Roma v Manchester City FC - UEFA Champions League

Signed from Espanyol in 2008, Pablo Zabaleta had a very successful nine-year stay at Manchester City. Two-time premier league winner with the Citizens, Zabaleta was a dependable defender, mostly being played on the right side of back-line. His hard-tackling style of play, leadership skills and knack for scoring important goals made him a fan favourite in Manchester.

Described as a “legend” by Pep Guardiola for his contributions to Manchester club and its overall success, finally left the club on a free transfer at the end of 2016-17 season to join West Ham. In total, he made 332 appearances for City scoring 11 goals. Zabaleta also helped West Ham avoid relegation and finish 13th in his first season at hammers.
