Tottenham goalie Hugo Lloris has pleaded guilty to drink-driving. The French World Cup winner now faces a driving ban.
The incident happened on August 24, as Lloris was pulled over by police.
As confirmed the police, Lloris was driving his 2018-plate Porsche Panamera along Gloucester Place, Marylebone, at the time. In an attention grabbing disclosure, it’s been confirmed that police found vomit in Lloris’s Porsche.
How drunk was Lloris when he was pulled over by the police? Prosecutor Henry Fitch said police in an unmarked car spotted Lloris’ vehicle driving at 15mph in a 30mph zone.
He also veered his car ‘towards parked vehicles’ before correcting himself. When police stopped the vehicle, they discovered vomit and said Lloris had to be helped from the car.
The court heard Lloris provided a sample containing 80 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath – the legal limit in England and Wales is 35 microgrammes.
Spurs return to Premier League action against Liverpool on Saturday. The match will be staged at Wembley Stadium. Last season Tottenham beat Liverpool 4-1 in this fixture. Spurs have injury doubts over Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Hugo Lloris and Moussa Sissoko.
