Kenyans have asked the Deputy President William Ruto alone. This is after a fake letter emerged online purportedly from Chief Justice David Maraga asking the DCJ to step aside from her office to pave way for investigations.
Karen Bots are on Mwilu’s case
Some people who are in their 40’s are still tweeting to receive Ksh528/- @williamsruto should be serious on employment, People like @PolycarpHinga have families to feed and it’s a shame to use them for Ksh1,027/- ($10.27)
SAD!! #MwiluTheWicked pic.twitter.com/PubgQzrHY7— #AFRICAN (@TEAMNASA_KE) September 12, 2018
In the letter, Maraga asks Mwilu, accused of corruption, failure to pay tax and improper dealings with Imperial bank, now in receivership, to take time away from her office until she clears her name.
“In addition with the dignity and reputation of the Judiciary at stake, I would like to suggest that you consider taking some time away from the office until this unfortunate matter is dispensed with,” it read in part.
And even though Maraga has come out to deny the letter as fake, some bloggers have used it as a basis to trend the hashtag #MwiluTheWicked on Twitter.
A section of netizens believe that most of those active on the hashtag are bloggers allied to the Deputy President. It has also been revealed that some of the bloggers were paid as little as ksh. 527 to tarnish the name of the DCJ.
In view of the above revelations, some people have come out to publicly ask Ruto to leave Mwilu alone. Here is what Kenyans are saying.
Why is @williamsruto hellbent on smearing campaign against DCJ Phelomena Mwilu? Why is he wasting our resources to pay these retarded fools to peddle lies on social media? Is this the kind of government we should expect from Uliam? @OleItumbi boys need real jobs #MwiluTheWicked

Kenyans wake up! It’s no longer corruption war on Mwilu’s case but revisit. Otherwise how do you explain several sponsored anti Mwilu hashtags? #MwiluTheWicked @ODPP_KE @DCI_Kenya @dkmaraga
