Former politician Danson Mungatana and K24 TV presenter, Mwanaisha Chidzuga, are counting blessings upon blessings after she welcomed her fourth baby two months ago.
Keeping the good news away from the public eye, the pretty Swahili news anchor introduced her daughter to the world by posting a photo of her feet with a word of blessing upon her new born.
She further captioned saying, ‘’2months old baby Amal .Wenzio walikuja na sahani ela mwanangu wewe umekuja na hotpot.Mungu akulinde duniani na akhera inshallah. Kulia juu chini kuna moto.’’
Baby Amal is the new member of Chizugha and Mungatana family.The couple has also been blessed with three other children.The couple has been able to put their affair out of the public eye for the longest time.
In addition they have their fair share of challenges in their union. Mungatana was rumored to be walking down the aisle with former Miss Kenya and Anti-Jigger campaign ambassador Cecilia Mwangi with whom he shares a daughter but they turned out to be false with Cecilia setting the record straight.
In a statement the former beauty queen said, ‘’There were rumours in the media that we were readying ourselves for a wedding. There was nothing like that. That was just a fabrication of the media as there were no marriage plans in the first place. However, I didn’t take offence when the said falsehoods were reported because I have bigger things to deal with, and pursue than dwelling on non-issues.’’
She further added saying, “Personally, I felt was at a stage where I needed back some peace of mind. We no longer communicate. No phone calls, no messaging… Nothing at all. We now live our separate lives. We don’t even share responsibilities for my daughter. I am a hard-working and responsible lady, capable of taking care of her needs to the fullest.”
She continued saying that, “I am in a ‘single and not ready to mingle’ kind of a situation right now. I feel so happy being single. It’s a nice situation to be in. I feel so in peace with myself, knowing that there is no one to bother me both in spirit and socially. I am happy taking care of my little daughter alone and nothing else can beat that. I also have my projects to pursue and dating is currently not in my to-do list.”
Two years ago via her social media Mwanaisha categorically stated that she was never a co-wife to Cecilia and was the only wife to Mungatana.
She came out stating, “Kindly note that I Mwanaisha Chidzuga was never a co-wife to one Cecilia Mwangi. Please stop dragging my name and that of my family into this madness,” she wrote, adding that her relationship with Mungatana was as tight as ever.
Mwanaisha Chidzuga is one of the longest serving, not forgetting most popular and most talented Kiswahili news anchors in Kenya today. Her exit from KTN in August 2015, left many people wondering what went wrong but she was not the only one who was fired. It was a problem with the Media House.
Mwanaisha was said to be one of the high-profile employees who had been sent home during Standard Group’s infamous massive retrenchment.
