Hot 96 FM have resulted to rotating comedians in the breakfast show in an attempt to fill in the void left by comedian Jalang’o who has since moved to Milele FM.
The move is not only aimed at seeking a possible replacement for Jalang’o but also seeks to rival Milele FM’s breakfast show hosted by Jalang’o and Alex Mwakideu, once hosting Maisha Asubuhi together.
Jalang’o quit Hot 96 to join Milele FM where he hosts the morning show together with Mwakideu whom he worked with previously at Radio Maisha.
Jalas co-hosted ‘The Hot Breakfast’ alongside Jeff Koinange for a year before he finally quit to re-unite with Mwakideu. Hot 96 is yet to find Jalas’ replacement as it seems, or rather they have adopted a new strategy altogether to remain relevant in the morning.
On Monday August 6th Jeff hosted the morning show with comedian Sleepy David. On Tuesday August 7th, Oga Obinna was the co-host in the morning. Another comedian, Professa Hamo is set to co-host the show on Friday alongside Jeff.
