Real Madrid Manager Tells Star to Make History with the Club

After the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo, Julen Lopetegui is set on not letting Gareth Bale leave too. The Welshman put his future in to doubt after the Champions League final, but since then things have gone in his favour.

Zidane, who was reluctant to play him regularly, has now left the club. Also, Cristiano’s departure means that Bale will have a much bigger role in the team. Injury free, he could become the club’s most important attacking player.

The club trust him and so does the coaching staff. To prove it, a face to face meeting took place between Lopetegui and the former Tottenham player at Real Madrid’s training ground according to ‘ABC’. The winger was brought in to the manager’s office as to assure him that he is a big part of the manager’s plans going forward.

“You’re a great player Gareth, and you’re going to prove it to everyone. I don’t want you to fill Cristiano’s shoes. I want you to make your own mark, do your own thing. You’re one of the best players in the world.” the manager of ‘Los Blancos’ said.
