Cristiano Ronaldo to sit out Juventus tour

Cristiano Ronaldo will reportedly miss Juventus’ pre-season tour of the United States following his exertions at the 2018 World Cup.

The Portugal international completed an incredible move to Juventus earlier this month, with the Italian champions paying £89m to sign him from Real Madrid.

However, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Ronaldo will not take part in Juventus’ pre-season tour of the USA having helped Portugal reach the last-16 stage of this summer’s World Cup.

The Serie A giants will face Bayern Munich, Benfica, MLS All-Stars and Real Madrid during their preparations for the new campaign, but there will reportedly be no Ronaldo on the trip.

The 33-year-old helped Real Madrid win their third successive Champions League title last term, and leaves the Spanish giants having scored 450 times in 438 appearances in all competitions.
