The 2017 PFA Player of the Year has attracted interest from Ligue 1 giants PSG and European champions Real Madrid.
But Chelsea are preparing to tie Kante down to a five-year deal, which will keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2023.
The 27-year-old still has three years left on his current contract, however, the Blues want to make him one of their best-paid players on around £200,000 a week.
