Chelsea have re-signed goalkeeper Eduardo – and immediately loaned him out to Vitesse Arnhem. The 35-year-old was released by the Blues at the end of last season after failing to make a single appearance for the club.
The nearest match action he got was as an unused substitute on 20 occasions since his arrival from Dinamo Zagreb in 2016.
However, Chelsea have moved to bring the Portuguese international back to Stamford Bridge on a one-year deal.They also have the option of extending it by a further 12 months.
But he will spend next season in the Dutch top-flight with the Blues’ affiliate club.
