Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara has refused to answer questions on his future, as he continues to be linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid. However, manager Ernesto Valverde is reported to have identified Thiago as a key target this summer, as he bids to add depth to his midfield following Iniesta’s departure.
Several outlets claim Bayern are willing to negotiate, and Real Madrid are also said to be monitoring developments, but Thiago was quick to shut down any talk of a transfer following La Roja’s 2-2 draw with Morocco in their final game of the World Cup group stages.
Asked about the rumours he simply replied: “Another question.”
Thiago played as La Roja survived a major scare against Morocco on Monday, with Iago Aspas’ last-minute goal rescuing a 2-2 draw and sending the country through as group winners, following Portugal’s controversial 1-1 draw with Iran.
