MAn United turn to Italy for Fellaini’s replacement

Manchester United have reportedly set their sights on Lorenzo Pellegrini as Jose Mourinho looks to replace Marouane Fellaini.

United have already bolstered their midfield options in the wake of Michael Carrick’s retirement by buying Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk. But they are facing the prospect of losing contract rebel Fellaini, who’s refused to put pen to paper on a new deal at Old Trafford.

According to the Manchester Evening News, United are admirers of Roma’s 22-year-old midfielder. Pellegrini racked up 37 appearances in all competitions after returning to Roma last summer.

And it seems his performances under Eusebio Di Francesco at the Stadio Olimpico turned Mourinho’s head.
