Arsenal fans have called on Unai Emery to dump Mesut Ozil after he was dropped by Germany. Ozil starts tonight’s crunch clash with Sweden on the bench after a poor display against Mexico in their World Cup opener. It is the first time Ozil has been on the bench in a major tournament, starting in all his previous 26 games.Defeat for world champions Germany would see them eliminated during the group stages.
And, when sending out a message of support for Ozil, Arsenal were bombarded with tweets to drops Ozil next term.
And they were met with Arsenal fans calling for action from the new boss.
“Hope Unai Emery hands him a place on the bench too,” one wrote.
