Why AFC Leopards coach is happy

AFC Leopards head coach Zapata Rodolfo has praised his players and admitted that the team is a work in progress.

Leopards last played Chenelil Sugar in a Kenya Premier League match at Machakos and the Argentine lauded his charges after defeating what the manager called ‘a complicated side.’ Leopards emerged winners after 2-0 final results.

“I am very happy for my players. They worked hard against a very complicated team and created opportunities. The team is still a work in progress and we will keep improving every day.” Rodolfo told Futaa.

Leopards will now shift their focus to defending the Shield Cup. They face Rainforest in the round of 32. Ingwe defeated Shabana in the initial stage beating the Kisii County side 2-1 at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

Under Robert Matano, Leopards won the Shield Cup at Moi International Sports Complex defeating Kariobangi Sharks 2-1.
