Sergio Aguero has hit out at his coach Jorge Sampaoli after their dismal performance against Croatia.

Croatia defeated Argentina 3-0 to damage their hopes of progressing to the knockout stage and now Argentina will depend on the result between Iceland and Nigeria. And the three- times world champions will have to beat Nigeria in their final match if they are to avoid an early exit. That is what angers the Manchester City forward more.

Ante Rabic, Real Madrid star Luka Modric and Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic completed Croatia’s route of Argentina in a 3-0 encounter on Thursday. Willy Caballero’s 53rd minute allowed the Croats to open the score.

During an interview, Jorge Sampaoli, Argentina’s boss claimed his players did not adapt to his tactics at Nizhny Novgorod.  And when questioned, Aguero angrily answered ” let him say what he wants” and left the interview midway.

“I feel anger and sadness. Although there is still a chance. Now we depend on others but there is still hope, a miracle. We have to wait and try to beat Nigeria.” Aguero said.
