Harry Kane has said that he loved watching the videos and pictures of England fans back home celebrating their country’s ​dramatic win over Tunisia in the World Cup on Monday.

The captain, who scored twice against Tunisia, said: “Seen some celebration videos from back home – love them. Your support is great we need you right behind us all the way.”

Television viewership data reveals that this game drew more viewers than Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding, with 18.3 million people tuned in on TV and a record 3 million on iPlayer.

One particular video showed the moment hundreds of England fans erupted in pure ecstasy at Boxpark in Croydon as Kane headed in the match-winning goal in the 91st minute.

England captain Harry Kane had earlier stated that ​the team believed to the very end that a second goal would be forthcoming against Tunisia.
