Arsenal have reportedly signed Joel Lopez from Barcelona.
It’s been rumoured for several days, and according to reports on social media it’s now a ‘done deal’. Joel Lopez is a 16-year-old left-back who has been raised in La Masia. Indeed, the young defender has been with the Catalans since he was seven years old.
Lopez’s Camp Nou exit has been rumoured for a few weeks after he rejected a contract offer from Barca. According to reports from Sport journalist Albert Roge, Joel Lopez has now completed a move to the Gunners.
It’s also been claimed that Raul Sanllehi, Arsenal’s head of recruitment, was a key factor in Arsenal’s latest capture. Sanllehi, who joined the Gunners from Barcelona, knows Joel Lopez from his time at the Camp Nou.
