Croatia head coach, Zlatko Dalic, has said that he was impressed with the pitch at the 34,000-seater Kaliningrad Stadium, where Croatia will play the Super Eagles of Nigeria in their opening group stage match of the 2018 World Cup.
“We saw Kaliningrad [city], we saw the stadium. The conditions are ideal and the quality of the pitch is just excellent. We are very happy that there are a lot of Croatian fans in the city, we must deliver on their hopes.” Dalic told journalists.
Croatia were drawn in Group D and will face Nigeria on 16 June, Argentina on 21 June and Iceland on 26 June.
