It took only 11 minutes for Yury Gazinsky to register the first goal of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Yury Gazinsky’s header – the first goal of his international career – during the opening match between Russia and Saudi Arabia, left Russian President Vladimir Putin, sitting next to FIFA president Gianni Infantino visibliy elated and looking over like “hey, I told you?”
The match ended 5-0 and the Russians look to have put themselves in good stead to qualify from the group stage.
