#Match Report: Brazil completes 10 unbeaten games with goal riot over Austria

5 time World Cup champions Brazil continued their unbeaten run in 10 games after thrashing Austria 3-0 in their last World Cup warm-up match at the Ernst Happel Stadion on Sunday. Goals from Gabriel Jesus, Neymar, and Philippe Coutinho placed the visitors very much ahead of their host. Manchester City striker and Premier League winner, Jesus opened the scoring as he shot past Heinz Lindner at the 36th minute. The scoreline went up in favour of the Samba boys at the 63rd minute as Neymar who made his first start since February netted in his skillful manner. Former Liverpool midfielder, Philippe Coutinho with the aid of his ex-teammate Roberto Firmino made it three for Brazil at the 69th minute just six minutes difference from Neymar’s early strike.

Austria, who couldn’t make it to Russia and have not contended at a World Cup since 1998, failed to pose quite a bit of a danger, however, West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic came close in the first half. Brazil have kept 16 clean sheets in 21 games since their manager, Tite assumed office and have not lost since June 2017. They kick off their World Cup battle against Switzerland in Group E on June 17 before confronting Costa Rica and Serbia.
