#Match report: Spain secure narrow win over resolute Tunisia

Summary

Iago Aspas came from the bench to hand Spain a narrow win in their last World Cup warm-up game against Tunisia in Krasnodar on Saturday. A star-studded Spanish team struggled to break down the defence of Tunisia until the Celta Vigo forward announced himself just six minutes to the end of the game to keep the scoreline 1-0. It took two of Lopetegui’s substitutions to make the leap forward. Tunisia, England’s first rivals in Russia, went near to drawing level before the break when Naim Sliti missed from close range. Spain who are now unbeaten in 20 matches will start their World Cup campaign against Portugal on Friday in Sochi, while Tunisia face England in Volgograd on Monday, 18 June.
