#Match Report: Neymar Scores a Record Equaling Goal as Brazil Beat Austria 3-0

Summary

Captain Neymar scored his 55th goal for Brazil in the 3-0 win over Austria on Sunday. The goal took him to a joint third with Romario as Brazil’s all time goal scorer. Only Pele and ROnaldo are now ahead of the 26 year old.

Gabriel Jesus and Coutinho were also on target meaning coach Tite’s first choice attacking trident will arrive in Russia with a lot of confidence.

Brazil will arrive in Russia as one of the most inform teams at the tournament having won all their four games in 2018 without conceding a goal. The Selecao have scored nine goals in that period. The big question is if that will be enough to propel them to the finals and maybe ensure they win a record 6th world cup title.
