Gor Mahia Coach Dedicates Super Cup Win to Fans

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has dedicated the Sportpesa Super Cup trophy to the fans saying they deserve it more than anyone else.

‘The fans deserve the trophy and we are happy to win it for them’ he said during his post match press briefings.

Gor beat Simba 2-0 courtesy of goals from Jacques Tuyisenge and Meddie Kagere to succesfully defend the trophy they won in Tanzania last year.

Kerr,  a former Simba coach, said that his boys followed his instructions to the latter and dominated Simba from start to finish and gave them no chance in the match.

The win gave Kogalo a ticket to play Everton FC at the Goodison Park in July. This will be the second time for the two sides meeting having faced each other last year in Tanzania in a match that ended 2-1 in favor of the English side.

Gor Mahia also played another English side, Hull City at Kasarani in May this year.

The Super Cup tittle also came with a 3 million cash prize.
