leksandr Samedov opened scoring to give Russia the lead in Moscow from a tight angle, converting Alan Dzagoev’s pass over Turkey’s goalkeeper Serkan Kirintili in the 35 minute.

Cengiz Under almost doubled for Russia 12 minutes into the second half from 20 yards but his effort went wide. Two minutes later, Yunus Malli smashed home Turkey’s equaliser from 25 yards.

Russia head to the World Cup the lowly ranked country in FIFA rankings.
