Ghana FA scandal: Ex-Black Star confesses of $300k bribe offer in church

The corruption scandal hovering in Ghana Football Association has built up another measurement as previous Black Stars goalkeeper Richard Kingston has uncovered he was offered a bribe in the figure of $300,000 to concede two goals in their 2006 World Cup match against the Czech Republic.

The Black Stars had lost their opening diversion at the 2006 World Cup by 2-0 to Italy, and required an outcome in their second amusement against the Czech Republic to stand a possibility of advancing from the group and Kingston, who was Ghana’s first decision goalkeeper at the time, has now asserted he was offered $300,000 to let in two goals in the match. This is coming after the Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi was appeared in a viral video gathering a $65,000 “blessing cash” from a covert journalist in a sting activity.

“In the 2006 World Cup in Germany, we were set to play the Czech Republic in our second game having lost the first,” said 39-year old Kingston in a video circulating online of him and his wife at a deliverance service at the Synagogue Church of All Nations owned by popular Nigerian pastor, TB Joshua.
