Cristiano Ronaldo must remain at Real Madrid considering the prestige and opportunities that the club gave him to become one of the greatest players, according to Portugal legend Luis Figo.
Following the Champions League final win against Liverpool which gave Real its fourth title in five years, Ronaldo implied that he would be looking for a move away from the club. There has been a bit of back and forth from the player but it seems likely, especially after Zinedine Zidane’s departure, that Ronaldo would also move from Real.
But Portugal and Real Madrid legend Luis Figo believes that his fellow countryman should stay at the Spanish club as a thank you for all they have done for the player.
“Many times, what you want or what you are going to be doesn’t depend only on you but on other factors that so many don’t realise,” Figo said, according to Express.
“But Ronaldo is at the best club in the world and I think that he should finish his career here.
