Salah’s Agent Trolls Spanish Paper Over Reported Barcelona Meeting

Mohamed Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has refuted suggestions that he held talks with Spanish giants Barcelona regarding a potential move for his client to the Nou Camp next season.

According to a report in AS, it was understood that Issa had offered Salah’s services to the La Liga champions, who are in the market for attacking reinforcements as they look to challenge rivals Real Madrid and win the UEFA Champions League next season.

The Egyptian was the star of the last Premier League campaign, scoring 44 goals in 52 appearances in all competitions, second only to Lionel Messi in Europe. Salah’s performances earned him a slew of awards including the PFA Player of the Year award given to him by his peers in the Premier League.

Issa had reportedly contacted Barcelona in the hope of seeing him link up with Messi at the Nou Camp, however he has strongly denied such rumours.

This is not true. You need better sources!”, he wrote on Twitter.

It is unlikely that Liverpool would sell Salah even if a potential bid does come in for him as he has firmly established himself as one of their key players. Salah for his part will next be seen at Russia where he will lead his country on the international stage.
