Marcelo asks Neymar to join him at Madrid

Brazil international Marcelo has invited  Neymar to join Real Madrid adding that the rumours Ronaldo does not want the PSG man in the Spanish capital are not true.

According to Marcelo, the door is open to Neymar’s arrival in Madrid. The Brazilian was speaking after reports that Ronaldo is dissatisfied at the club’s pursuit of the Paris Saint-Germain forward. Neymar is an international teammate of Marcelo’s at this summer’s World Cup.

“Cristiano Ronaldo does not own Real Madrid,” Marcelo told a Brazil news conference, in quotes carried by Diario AS. I want Cristiano to stay but certain issues are not linked and they are reported that they are, because we always want the best players in the world to play for Madrid. The door is open for Neymar and if they president wants to sign someone, then he will move for them and it’s not like those two players are not compatible.

“I have always thought someday that Neymar would play for Real Madrid, but I do not know when!”

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona for a mind-boggling $263m and reputed weekly salary of $653,000.
