Mikel Obi impressed with Super Eagles’ Training base

Super Eagles’ Captain John Mikel Obi has expressed his satisfaction with the Super Eagles’ training base, the Avita Resort in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, Austria. “This place makes a whole lot of sense. I am truly impressed. Whoever chose this place paid attention to details. We are happy here,” Mikel said.

Located in the beautiful surrounding of the rolling hills of Südburgenland, The Avita Resort is a UEFA-certified premium wellness resort which offers cuisine of the highest standard with homemade Pasta. It also has one of the most beautiful spa landscapes in Austria and a wide selection of saunas and steam baths. The national teams of Nigeria’s Group D opponent, Croatia, as well as Austria, Russia and Northern Ireland and club sides like FC Köln, Fenerbahce, West Ham United, S.S. Lazio amongst others have made use of the resort to prepare for important competitions and for pre-season training. All the necessary facilities for modern training are within walking distance.
Mikel who plays for Tianjin Teda in China, commended the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for improving so many things around the team, in terms of organisation and logistics.
The Eagles prepare for their final World Cup warm-up friendly on Wednesday against the Czech Republic at Schwechat Stadium – the first meeting between the two countries at full international level.
