Suarez Reveals Reason why MSN Partnership Worked

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has said the reason why the MSN worked was because he and Neymar had so much respect for Messi.

“A guy from Uruguay, another from Argentina and one from Brazil — they all said it couldn’t work,” Suarez said. “But it did. Because we both had respect for Messi, the best player in the world. But also because of Neymar’s talent, which already makes him a Ballon d’Or candidate now.”

Suarez and Neymar formed one of football’s most-feared attacking lines at Barcelona with five-time world player of the year Lionel Messi. In three seasons playing together, they scored 364 goals, firing Barca to the Treble in 2014-15 under Luis Enrique.

However, Neymar decided to join PSG in the summer of 2017 in a move that Suarez believes was motivated by a desire to win the Ballon d’Or.
