Steven Gerrard ready to make his first signing from Liverpool

It was always likely that the former Reds skipper would return to the Anfield youth system to borrow a player or two, given the talent on offer and the lack of finances north of the border.

Bringing in ready-made, top-quality stars is out of the question, so youth investments and loan deals will be high on Gerrard’s agenda.

And it seems Ejaria will be the first to follow Gerrard to Glasgow, with the Evening Times reporting a loan deal is imminent.

Now 20, Ejaria was one of the first youngsters to be handed a chance under Jurgen Klopp, playing eight times in 2016/17.
