It’s no secret that the Reds will need to bring in at least one new face into the attack this summer. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah were exceptional throughout 2017/18, but the lack of cover for them was apparent both domestically and, crucially, in the Champions League final.
Jurgen Klopp will have his choice of main targets, if the rumours doing the rounds are to be believed, with the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Christian Pulisic heavily linked again.
In addition, Nabil Fekir can play through the midfield and forward lines, offering further options and versatility should he sign from Lyon. Now, though, an entirely new name has entered the frame as a potential addition.
