Defender Diogo Dalot arrived in England to complete his transfer deals with Manchester united.
The 19 year old is expected to meet Jose Mourinho to finalised the deal.
According to reports, the defender has a release clause of £17.5m in his contract, but that only comes into effect from June 30 and United are expected to pay closer to £19m in order to secure the youngster’s signature early.
As many as eight other clubs were thought to be interested in the Portugal Under-21 international, who made eight appearances for Porto’s senior team last season.
Dalot is currently recovering from a knee injury, but is expected to be fit in time for the start of pre-season.
