Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke has been been dropped by Roberto Martinez insisting that was his most difficult call in releasing the final list for Russia World Cup.
The former Everton and Wigan boss added: ‘Christian has been the toughest decision. But it is for the balance of the squad. We have two number 9’s. Michy Batshuayi and Romelu Lukaku have taken those positions.’
Jordan Lukaku and Watford’s Christian Kabesele have also been dropped.
