Balotelli moving to Marseille?

France Football report that Marseille are in the process of making a contract offer to Mario Balotelli, as they want to avoid the situation they faced last summer where they left signing a striker to last minute.

Manager Rudi Garcia has already spoken with Mario Balotelli, whilst Puma, current kit-makers for Marseille and main sponsor of the Italian forward, are actively pushing for the move to happen.

Italian national team boss Roberto Mancini would be for a Mario Balotelli move to Marseille, which boosts OM’s chances yet further of acquiring the player’s signature.

Balotelli himself’s desires are unclear, with Napoli, where his daughter lives, thought to be an attractive potential destination, except that the Serie A side have not shown any concrete interest in signing the OGC Nice man.

Mino Raiola, the player’s agent, is secretly hoping to bring the player to AS Monaco, so that Mario does not have to relocate.

A deal will cost the buying club at least €10m this summer.
