Manchester United will make a move for Toby Alderweireld this week according to a report. The Belgian defender is said to be the #1 defensive target for the Red Devils this summer. The report claims that he has refused to sign a new contract at Tottenham and they are interested in selling him this summer.
He still has 2 years left on his deal but a £25 million release clause comes into effect next summer. He is currently on a £50,000 a week contract and wants his wages doubled. Spurs are reluctant to do it while Manchester United are said to be ready to offer him the amount he desires.
