Sporting Lisbon Showing Interest In Manchester City Star

Sporting Lisbon are interested in signing Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart as a replacement for Rui Patricio, who is expected to join Napoli this summer.

Hart spent this season on loan at West Ham, but lost his place in the starting eleven after a series of poor performances at the London Stadium.

The Englishman’s career received another blow after he was left out of the England squad for the World Cup and he has no place in Pep Guardiola’s plans for Manchester City going forward.

The goalkeeper’s future hangs in the balance, but it seems he could have an opportunity to rekindle his career in Portugal next season.

According to Portuguese daily Record, Sporting Lisbon are considering signing the Manchester City goalkeeper this summer as a replacement for Portugal goalkeeper Patricio.

The 30-year-old is expected to join Napoli in the ongoing window and Sporting Lisbon have been forced into the market for a new goalkeeper this summer.

And it has been claimed that Hart has emerged as an experienced option for the Portuguese giants and they are interested in taking him to Sporting Lisbon.

The 31-year-old had a poor loan stint at Torino in the 2016/17 season and it remains to be seen whether he is prepared to leave England again this summer.
