Wolves to sign striker Benik Afobe from Bournemouth

Talks to trigger Benik Afobe’s £12.5m release clause, that will allow the Bournemouth striker to return to Molineux on a permanent deal, are at an advanced stage. Afobe, who spent the second half of the season with Wolves after moving on loan in February scored six goals in 16 league games for the Sky Bet Championship winners.He then left for a then-club record £10m. Afobe was initially a first-time regular under Eddie Howe at Bournemouth, but went on to start just 14 Premier League games in the 2016-17 season.

He was then reduced to five league starts last season before securing a loan move to Wolves.In his previous spell at Molineux, Afobe scored 23 goals in 48 games.
