Torres Could Join Iniesta in Japan

Atletico Madrid forward Fernando Torres could be the second Spanish player to move to the J-League after former Barcelona icon Andres Iniesta announced his move to Vissel Kobe last week.

J-League officials leaked on social media that the Spanish World Cup winner had completed a transfer to Japanese club Sagan Tosu. They went ahead to delete the post and offered an apology to the club’s fans and Torres but it has now emerged that the transfer can still go through.

The 32 year old forward left his boyhood club at the end of last season after winning the Europa League. He also has two European championships medals and a world cup to his name.
