Manuel Neur will be Ready for the World cup

German captain Manuel Neur played for the first time after a very long injury lay-off against the u20 side on Monday in a match that ended 7-1 in favor of the senior side.

Goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke said that the goalkeeper impressed in the match. ‘He is completely healed and will play on Saturday against Austria.’

Neur has been out for most part of the season and there was fear that he may not recover in time to help his country defend the title they won in Brazil four years ago.

Kopke also updated the media on the situation of defender Jerome Boateng ‘We have no worries about Jerome at the moment; he has no problems. He can train well and increase the workload more and more. And we still have a bit of time.’
