Iniesta: I suffered from Depression

Andreas Iniesta is regarded as one of the players in the current generation. The Spanish midfielder who left Barcelona at the end of last season will be looking to add another world cup title to his cabinet when he leads the national team to Russia this summer.

But the decorated midfielder has revealed one side of his life that not very many people knew about, and that is the fact that he suffered from depression. In an exclusive interview on El Hormiguero, Iniesta revealed  what it was like after the death of his close friend Dani Jarque.

Jarque, who played for Espanyol before he passed away in 2009, suffered a heart attack during pre-season training with the club.

“You do not feel like you are yourself, you do not enjoy things. (You feel) that the people around you are just people, you have no feelings or passion.” he said
