Talks between Derby and Frank Lampard over the vacant coach’s position continue with both parties positive a deal can be reached.
The Rams have been searching for a new coach since the departure of Gary Rowett to rivals Stoke last week.A number of contractual issues still need to be addressed, but Lampard and Derby are keen to get the deal done.
The former Chelsea player confirmed on Saturday that he was in talks with Derby over becoming the club’s new coach, keen to take his first steps into management. Jody Morris, is expected to join him in his coaching staff.
