Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Emre Can and James Milner will be fit for Saturday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid at Kiev stadium.
Can has made a quicker-than-expected recovery from the back injury that has kept him out of action since late March.
Milner missed his side’s 4-0 win over Brighton on the final day of the Premier League season with a minor injury. He has now recovered and is able to lend his considerable experience to Liverpool’s challenge to halt Madrid’s hunt for a third consecutive Champions League title.
“Milner was clear [he would be fit] and Emre is a surprise. We thought it would be difficult, but he came back and from the first day it was like, ‘OK, that looks good, how do you feel?’ ‘Very good’ and then the next day ‘very good’ again, he told Liverpool official portal.
Adam Bogdan, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez will miss the tie.
