Luis Enrique was earlier ahead of others to join either Arsenal or Chelsea for the 2019 EPL season. Something however has gone wrong between the clubs and Enrique. He is no more in the race to join any of the two clubs. Luis Enrique has started his coaching career with the Barcelona B team. After the completion of his three-year of contract in 2016-17, Enrique did not renew his contract.
ThiArsene Wenger has left Arsenal, so the club management are desperate to find a new manager to get things back on track. Enrique was a really good option for them but the club management were unable to meet the high saary of Enrique.
Now they are looking for a younger manager and Mikel Arteta is the top contender. On the other hand, Antonio Conte may also be sacked despite the FA Cup win this season. Enrique was one of the top contenders to replace Conte but the meeting between Enrique and Chelsea Board director Marina Granovskaia did not go well.
