Inter Milan are eyeing on having star Ivan Perisic on their side this summer.
Perisic has recently been linked on moving Old Trafford last summer, with Jose Mourinho having openly admitted that he was keen to add another winger to his side’s ranks.
The transfer was rumoured to be close to completion on numerous occasions, after Inter held strong, with Mourinho and co. having eventually been left with no choice but to admit defeat in their chase of the former Wolfsburg star.
Perisic has however signed a new contract with the Nerazzurri, tying him down to the Milanese giants until the summer of 2022.
In an interview he said
‘Now, we can look forward and I’m only thinking about Inter. After signing, the pitch is the only thing left for me to think about.’
‘For a long time I didn’t give quotes, I can now say that I had already spoken with Spalletti in pre-season and he told me that I can be an even better player with him.’
‘Handanovic also spoke to me about Spalletti from their time at Udinese and he only had good things to say about him.’
Perisic since went on to play a crucial role in Inter securing a return to the Champions League for next season, racking up 11 goals and 9 assists in Serie A.
According to reports the Nerazzurri could face another blow Perisic rumoured to jointhe Premier League.
Tottenham Hotspur are the latest side to express a genuine interest in Perisic’s signature, with the London outfit having already made contact with Fali Ramadani, the Inter man’s agent, to make their interest known.
However, it is also claimed that Spurs were informed that Perisic is absolutely not for sale, meaning it would no doubt take a monumental offer for the board at the San Siro to consider changing their stance.
