Unai Emery Etxegoien has largely been touted as the successor for Arsene Wenger who is exiting the club after 22 years.
Born 3 November 1971, the Spanish football manager and former player was most recently manager at the Paris Saint-Germain.
He became a manager in 2005, first with Lorca and Almería before spending four years with Valencia and leading the team to three third-place finishes in La Liga.
After a short spell at Spartak Moscow, Emery moved to Sevilla in 2013, where he won three consecutive Europa League victories with the club.
He moved to Paris Saint-Germain in 2016 and won three trophies in his first year.
He left the club at the close of the 2017–18 season.
